What is spirituality all about? This exploration of four teachings could help.
The presentation contrasts the four subjects and focuses on the nature of non-dual consciousness which is at the core of all of them. The presentation starts with a description of the consciousness of someone totally unaffected by spiritual growth and spiritual insights. It then moves to a discussion of the handout on Buddhism which is entitled ‘The Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path’. The slide presentation examines the teachings of Nisargadatta Maharaj and ACIM and the presentation ends with a reading from the Mirror of Simple Souls by the medieval mystic Marguerite Porete.
Edward has retired from his work as a radio broadcast technician and in television broadcasting for many years. His last ten years were spent as a Computer Systems Engineer, both as an employee and self-employed. Born in Wangaratta in Victoria to a farming family, he spent 5 years in Madang in New Guinea from 1965-1970, and another 5 years in London as a television broadcast engineer with Thames Television.
Edward discovered Rosicrucians, The Secret Doctrine, and Blavatsky’s other works in his twenties, and also the writings of other Theosophical authors. His interest in spirituality has been continuous throughout his life.
