Weekend Workshop/Course

The Logan Theosophy Group is fortunate to have Russell Sturgess, author of The Spiritual Roots of the Cathars and other books, present a 16 hour course, spread over a Weekend workshop, titled:

'Pathways To Mindfulness'

Commences Saturday 27th August to Sunday 28th August, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm each day, at the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre.

Russell is a professional speaker and presenter.

Total cost is only $160 for the weekend, which will include vegetarian lunches, tea and coffee, morning tea, and snacks. In addition, three workbooks are being provided by Russell to be included. A saving of $30 for each participant.

Bookings are essential as numbers are limited. And for catering purposes.

Below is an outline of the 8 sessions of 2 hours each, spread over the 2 days:

SESSION 1
The CATHAR AND THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL.
This session explains the rationale for why the Cathar taught the concept that St John of the
Cross (1542-91) later referred to as the Dark Night of the Soul. This also reveals their broader 'theology of love’ as reflected in the Major Arcana of the Marseille Tarot.

The big picture was captured in 22 cards of the Major Arcana of what would later be called the Tarot.

SESSION 2
UNDERSTANDING CONSCIOUSNESS AND HOW NEUROPLASTICITY WORKS.
Neuroplasticity is a relatively new concept in the world of Neuroscience. In this session you will learn about the science of how to change our minds and opinions that can be deep set in our psych.

SESSION 3
CURRENT REALITY
How we currently approach our life, through our 4 states of consciousness, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical.

SESSION 4
OUR PROGRAMMING
This session looks at the programming we have had as a child and how it affects the way we live our life.

SESSION 5
ALTERNATIVE REALITY
How we can expand our awareness.

SESSION 6
SHIFTING REALITY
Now we have to work out where we are, where we want to go, and how to get there.

SESSION 7
THE TEST OF THE FLAMING SWORD
This is a test of what you value now and what you are prepared to become unattached from, in order to progress.

SESSION 8
MINDFUL NOT WILFUL
This session reminds us to be mindful of how we can live our lives.
